In preparation for your CBT course, you must:
- Have a valid UK full or provisional driving licence
- You will be sent an email containing a link for some E-Learning videos on our YouTube channel. Please watch all the videos on the playlist. These have been produced to give you a head start on your CBT and will help in making your practical experience more relatable on the day.
- We strongly recommend you organise yourself with a road legal motorcycle helmet and motorcycle gloves. We do not supply gloves.
- Have a good understanding of the Highway Code
- Be able to balance on two wheels (i.e., ride a bicycle). If you do not have good balance, please call us and discuss and Introduction to Motorcycling (ITM) course on 07874014305.
If you have never ridden a scooter or clutch & gear bike before, we highly recommend you consider an ITM course first. )
This course will give you a better insight into the CBT and what is expected.
On the day:
- You must bring your licence and motorcycle gloves (We do not supply gloves).
- You should wear sturdy jacket, strong trousers and sensible footwear (e.g., boots). You will be exposed to the weather so please consider the weather on the day of your CBT and dress accordingly.
- You must be able to read a number plate no less than 57ft away so please bring glasses if you need them.
- You must turn up on time. Our CBT training courses can start from as early as 7am. Please pay attention to your allocated start time when booking. For any person arriving after the agreed time, unfortunately you CBT will be cancelled, and your payment will be non-refundable.
After your CBT:
If you do not manage to complete your CBT course and you need more training, your instructor may offer you an ITM or an extension road ride, if they feel you are unsafe on the road. Any additional training will be at an additional cost.
