For instance, account holders might have the ability to place an order online. They might also have access to things like an online address book with address verification so they can easily print accurate shipping labels and store all of their clients' addresses conveniently within the courier system.
For some companies though, there is no real practicality to opening a courier account, and it is important to take that into account as well. If you only ship once every several months, it is probably not worth opening an account at this time. If your shipping needs increase over time you can look into opening an account later. You can use your more sporadic shipping needs to test out several of the courier companies in the area. You can compare the rates that they can offer you, as well as the customer service they provide.
